I bought my first ‘real’ camera at 19 and discovered something compelling.

While thrashing out a living in the print industry, and an interlude with photojournalism, I had notions of getting paid to travel the world - but didn’t quite happen that way. Then after a decade as a graphic designer in a world of visual identity, photography and illustration, I inevitably came back to that first compelling experience.

Since 2008 I have been a freelance photographer based in Auckland, now on beautiful Waiheke Island.
